CRITERIA FOR A GOOD HYPOTHESIS
Criteria For A Good Hypothesis
The word hypothesis is
derived from the Greek word - 'hyposthenia' meaning ' to put under' or 'to
suppose'. The word hypothesis consist of
two words' Hypo' and thesis. Hypo' means tentative or subject to the verification
and thesis means statement about solution of a problem. So the word- Hypothesis
means tentative statement about solution of a problem or Hypothesis means the
guesses to solve the research problem(‘Hypotheses’,
2016).

Null hypothesis
|
It exists when a researcher believes
there is no relationship between the two variables, or there is a lack of
information two states a scientific hypothesis.

Alternative hypothesis
|
In an attempt to disprove a null
hypothesis, researchers will seek to discover an alternative hypothesisns.

Logical hypothesis
|
It is a
proposed explanation possessing limited evidence. Generally, you want turn a
logical hypothesis into an empirical hypothesis, put in your theories to the
test.
